Reopening the churches that are closed is an option, but is it the most logical? In some places, maybe. Are there any other options?”

Where there is God’s message, there is always a way for it to be delivered. IN the church that I am pastoring at the moment in Armidale NSW there have been as many as 27 different places of preaching or proclaiming within a space of a month. Sure it was in 1894, but that is a lot of preaching. Now, we have the main church in Armidale,(two services a week) a small congregation 40 kilometers away once a month, an retirement village service once a month and a community service 50 kilometers away once every three months.

Doesn’t sound like much does it. BUT

We have bible studies in peoples homes. One in a town 25 kilometers away, others in town, some for university students, some for young people, one for women. Maybe there is a different way of doing things?

Of course there is but we need not to be locked into what we think church is traditionally.

Church is the gathering of God’s people. Bible study is one way, having a meal together is another, maybe even BBQ with a message.

What is suitable for your neihbours and friends? You know better than I do. Have a think.
