1CO 3:1 Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly–mere infants in Christ.

Hey now this is a huge put down. Not Spiritual people – they thought they were. Some thought they were more spiritual than others. And looking at it is a huge slap in the face because this was a growing thriving church. Very successful in church growth, they used their spiritual gifts, they were inclusive of the local people but Paul is hammering them saying they are not spiritual people.

I must say I have had a great time preparing this weeks sermon. I usually do. There is nothing better than sitting down nutting out what God is saying to me through His word. In fact I had too much material and have had to cull. There is just so much stuff that we can learn just from these 6 verses. My prayer has been that I will give you the message that God has for you today.

Jude is an interesting little book. For a number of reasons.

One is that it is possibly written by a brother of Jesus. Most of us would have heard that Jesus had a brother James who probably wrote the book of James, and here we have a book written by Jude, James’ brother.
