This is a strange chapter but it has some good stuff in there for us. Remember, the people miraculously crossed the flooded river. The water stopped and they walked on through on dry ground and it was all amazing. These are the instructions and what happened next.

Who was wrong?Was Joshua told to send the spies? It takes balance to ride a bike. That appears obvious. But that balance is put to the test when the bike is outa wack. Let me put it this way, if the wheels aren’t balanced –the bike rider uses more energy to get where he or she wants to go. (more…) Life is hard to balanceEven in the bible finding the balance was difficult.Look at examples in Scripture – David, - was the friend of God, the man after God own heart yet he made some pretty big mistakes. Adultery, murder just to name a few. We have spoken about being involved in mission over the last few weeks. But most of us are usually at a bit of a loss how to go about mission. That is because we usually think of it as an over there thing. Something that someone on the mission field does but we don’t. We do church, or we do bible study or we do youth group but we don’t perceive that we do mission. Well we know we do but it doesn’t sink into our psyche. |
