Some of you may have noticed that Church2Go has been absent for the last month or so.

As of January 2011 this site was hosted by Click ‘n Go (a subsidiary of DistributeIT).  On Saturday the 11th of June this company was maliciously hacked and this domains website was destroyed. In the words of DistributeIT staff;

The DistributeIT Situation Thus Far…

As you would be aware, DistributeIT was the subject of a targeted, malicious, attack by hackers late on Saturday, June 11. The attack was a deliberate attempt to take down the DistributeIT business, and doesn’t appear to be specifically aimed at stealing client data for gain. The attackers were coordinated in their approach and set out to do as much damage to our systems and software as possible, which they were largely successful at achieving. The attack was very swift, precise and lasted only a short duration and was targetted towards destroying drive header files therefore maximizing the impact in the short time they had before our engineers shut down the Network.

While it was a situation beyond our control, I would like to apologise to John and the site followers for the loss of his site for the last month or so, as well as the loss of all posts that he has made since January (A backup existed for January when we moved to this host, but not since).  I would also like to welcome the site back and hope that it can now be bigger and better than ever.

Site Admin.

Marianne, (My wife) I and our two boys went to Inverell today to speak at church and visit. Inverell doesn’t have a Baptist Minister at the moment and all the other Baptist churches are pitching in a service or two a month. It was our turn today.

I am not sure who got most blessed, them or us. It was just great to be in church. We sang some, to the sounds of my old guitar as they didn’t have any musicians today, we listened to the bible then I preached. It was a  great little service.

After that they put on lunch for us as we had driven a couple of hours to get there. They fed us well, no really well, actually really, really well. I won’t need to cook tonight. They really did treat us special.

 It says something about country fellowship doesn’t it. They didn’t know us from a bar of soap but they treated us like family. It was good to be in church with them. I hope God blesses those people this week!

Hi there,

We hope you like the new look for church2go. The idea of this blog is to provide some resources initially for those who don’t get to church but also for those people who are interested in some of the same things that we are. You will notice from the listed categories that the interests are varied so please feel free to browse the topics.

 Also feel free to comment about the site, about the sermons and articles or just generally make a comment about life. While this is about doing church a bit differently, we encourage you to interact both here and with others in your journey with God.

We hope you enjoy the site.

 John
