Maturing

Hebrews 6:1-2 

HEB 6:1 Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, 2 instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And God permitting, we will do so.  (more…)

No handle on the cross

  I read the passage about taking up the cross and following Jesus the other day. It sounds like hard work. Crosses are big things, heavy stuff, and usually not very easy to carry.So I have come up with some convenient ways of carrying a cross.  (more…)

The Call.

Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him.
