Hey look at this church on the go!!!!Posted by: John in Photography, Rural Churches, UncategorizedLast year I recieved this picture from a friend, Joanne Dyason, that her grandmother found. This really is a church2go. [cpg_imagefixnormal:30] Here are some images from late last year out at the Roans farm. Pete and I (stigandr.com) spent some time clicking while the shearing went on around us. The third one is an image of a curtain at the church I work for. Light makes an impression wherever it is just like God has an impact on whoever see’s what His light is about. [cpg_imagefixnormal:27] [cpg_imagefixnormal:28] [cpg_imagefixnormal:29] 1JN 2:1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense–Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2:1 As John resumes his discourse on sin and forgiveness, we see a striking change of mood. Whereas earlier he was focusing on his opponents and their false teaching, now he speaks about these things as they affect his followers. The note of endearment–”my dear children”–in no way minimizes the seriousness of the discussion. John hastens to add, “I write this to you so that you will not sin.” There is no question at all in his mind that sin and obedience to God are irreconcilable. Sin is the enemy. 1 John – A Letter for Friends Note. Not a letter but probably a homily written by the aging apostle John to be read to his much loved congregation in Ephesus. Note the use and form. There is no dear Ephesians or any introduction as we see in Paul. Much more intimate. |
